You will continuously look for opportunities to optimize processes and strengthen financial control, making a visible impact on the organization.

About the department

You will join our Financial Operations team, a group of dedicated professionals passionate about accuracy, improvement, and collaboration. The team values open communication, personal responsibility, and continuous learning. Together, you work closely with business stakeholders to support informed decision‑making and financial stability.

What will you do?

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will take ownership of key financial processes and play an essential role in driving performance and transparency across the organization. Your responsibilities include:

  • Deliver impactful financial insights by preparing accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports (including P&L analysis, salary reviews, and reconciliations) for multiple Ewals entities
  • Ensure compliance and control by safeguarding strong internal controls and aligning with group policies and local legislation
  • Analyze business performance by monitoring turnover, costs, and key financial indicators to ensure accuracy and support decision-making
  • Manage statutory and tax requirements, including VAT reviews (local and international), financial declarations, and corporate tax support
  • Prepare financial statements such as Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and local statutory reports
  • Collaborate with auditors (both local and group) and ensure smooth audit processes
  • Drive planning and forecasting by supporting budgeting processes and financial forecasts in close collaboration with management
  • Take ownership of reporting deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate submission to all stakeholders
  • Continuously improve processes by identifying opportunities and implementing smarter and more efficient ways of working
  • Support system innovation through active involvement in the rollout of new financial systems
  • Act as a true business partner, increasing financial awareness and supporting managers and controllers with valuable insights
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues, helping them leverage financial data and tools effectively
  • Stay ahead of regulations, ensuring compliance with local fiscal requirements and evolving legislation
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial policies and processes across the organization
  • Share your knowledge and contribute to the professional growth of your colleagues

How will you get there?

Education: A university degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is a strong advantage)

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a Financial Controller or similar role, with proven ability to take ownership and drive results

Languages: Good command of Slovak and English (minimum C1 level) to collaborate effectively in an international environment

Technical expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting and controlling principles
  • Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS standards
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial tools

Digital skills: Advanced user of MS Office, especially Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data
